President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called for improved road infrastructure, stronger border security and a one-stop border centre to facilitate trade between Uganda and South Sudan, as Uganda’s annual exports to its northern neighbour are estimated to have risen to $700 million.

A Ugandan delegation led by Trade Minister Hon. Sanjay Tanna held bilateral talks in Nairobi with Kenya’s President William Ruto and Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui to address non-tariff barriers, accelerate industrial policy harmonization, and boost cross-border trade integration.
